2000 GUINEAS 1847

The 39th winner of the 2000 Guineas, held on Tuesday 20th April 1847 over the Rowley Mile, was Conyngham (4/1), a bay colt by Slane out of Daughter to Whisker, owned by Sir Robert Pigot. The winner won by a length, with the same distance back to the third. A field of 10 runners contested the race which was worth £1,450 (Equivalent to £155,200 in 2017)
